How I got $252.37 Worth of Groceries, Personal Care Items and Cleaning Supplies for $97.58

Hey everybody! 

My main goal on here is to show you all sales, deals and products you will actually use. I'd also really like everyone to walk away from my blog knowing you can save money by couponing and still buy items you NEED at the same time. I went to the doctor on Friday, and it came to my attention there (again) that a lot of people think that to coupon, you have to buy a bunch of junk food and stuff you don't need. That's not the case at all. I used to think that too. Sure, there's a bunch of coupons for things like Oreos and terrible-for-you-snacks, but if you put effort and work into saving money and looking out for healthier items/things you need, you will reap the benefits. It's all about how you balance your meals and what you buy. 

So.... from there, I'd like to show y'all how I spent $97.58 and saved $154.79 at Harris Teeter this week on things my family and I will actually be using. :)

How I got $133.23 Worth of Groceries for $52.29

    Hey y'all! My family and I made our weekly Harris Teeter run this afternoon and I figured I'd share with you guys. 

    There were a couple of items that had already been torn apart by the early bird couponers, like the Pillsbury pancakes and Green Giant boxed veggies that are both B2G3 this week, that I'll be going back to grab tomorrow. As you can obviously tell from the title, I spent $52.29 and saved $80.94.

As you can tell, I don't have the best photography skills ever but I did manage to get it all in there. :) 


Here's how I did it:

The Mott's Snack n Go applesauce (4 ct.) is on sale for $2.00. I had a $.55 off coupon I got from coupons.com that doubled to $1.10 off. The total price was $.90.

HT brand Wide Pan Bread is B1G1 this week which made the total $3.49 for 2.

Avocados are also B1G1 which made my total $1.99 for 2.

Cantaloupes are B1G1- Total was $3.99 for 2.

Dole Fruit Crisps (2 ct.) are $2.29 this week and after my $.75 off coupon from coupons.com that doubled to $1.50 off,  that made the total = $.79. 

Barilla Pasta is B2G3 this week (great deal!) and I got 5 boxes of whole grain pasta for $3.30 (1.65 is the original price for 1 box). 

Barilla pasta sauce is also B2G3 this week.

Tuttorosso Canned Tomatoe ($.99 each) - and after using s are B1G1 - $1 off when you purchase 3 coupon, Click here to print! it made them $.66 each.

Groceries Galore

Well, I have a confession to make. 

I had planned on posting my second Harris Teeter trip this weekend and guess what? I can't find my receipt. 

It must have gotten lost among the craziness of the weekend. 

However, I DID take a picture I'll share with you guys. 

My total was around $38 (I went over my goal of $60 a bit this week). But with both trips combined, I got around $213 in groceries, etc for $73 total. The coffee and sodas kind of ran up the bill a bit but those are for the hubby. :) AND I did get the Pepsi products B2G3 so not bad at all. 

If you haven't shopped Super Doubles yet, I encourage you to do so! And once again, I got my list from Homemakingmom.com. She has an awesome list of Harris Teeter matchups. Maybe one day I'll get around to making them myself but for now, I enjoy using hers. :) 

And of course, you know I didn't forget to post the Scentsy deals. 

This little guy is the Warmer of the Month this month. Seriously, how adorable is this?! I was immediately in love when I saw this one. And to make things even better, it is 10% off this month only. The Scent of the Month is "Posy Peach", which smells pretty awesome considering I don't even like peach.

Puppies, Coupons and Scentsy Sales... The sweeter things in life.

Hey everybody! 
Well, I've done it again. I've neglected the blog. Amazing how easy it is to do that, isn't it? 

I'll show you all what has been taking up most of my time. 

Adorable, isn't he?! This is Scotland, the newest addition to the Davis family. He was my Christmas present and seriously, this dog is a MESS but how can you resist that face? I think God made puppies so cute for a reason. 

Seriously though, he really is a good dog and we all love him to death. He is just a puppy AND a boy which is always a dangerous combination. ;) 

Here he is waiting on his Daddy to get home, haha. He does this just about every day and normally there is a little blond haired boy right beside him. 

Okay, enough with the puppy pictures, I could go on all day! 

This week is Super Doubles week at Harris Teeter! If you're a couponer, you know what this means... BIG savings! I decided this week I would make 2 separate trips, just to keep things fun. :-) 

I spent about 45 minutes or so gathering my coupons and making my first list. I got my sale match-ups from homemakingmom.com.. she caters more to the NC area which I love! 

Here are the results from Trip #1 of Super Doubles:

The total was a little more than I'd anticipated but still, not bad. Spent: $33.36 and saved $74.25. I had around $60 to work with this week. (I've started doing weekly trips instead of bi-weekly). This picture also doesn't include a 24 pack of individual International Delight creamer (for the hubby- he got ahold of it this morning), another Hormel Country Crock mashed potatoes we had for dinner last night and also a free Del Monte Mango fruit cup that our little 4 year old trash can had this morning. :)

One last thing for now...
